Who I am
Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, I’ve called Apex home for the past 16 years.
Meet TJ
I’m a proud believer, devoted partner to my beautiful Kalabria, and a proud father to our son, Croix James Evans. As a community organizer and the founder of the Apex Juneteenth Festival, I’m passionate about bringing people together and fostering connections within our community with advocacy at the forefront. I have a deep passion for traveling, exploring new places, and discovering different cultures.
I grew up on hoops, so sports have always been a big part of my life. One of the most memorable moments of my career was helping bring Apex High School its first and only basketball state championship. I continued my career at Cape Fear Community College and then at Missouri Western State University. I’m a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan—O-H!
When I'm not watching my Buckeyes, you can probably find me asking Kalabria who I should start as my flex in fantasy football for that week—even though she has no idea what I'm talking about. Needless to say, sports are always on in the Evans household.
I am a big coffee enthusiast, Kalabria, Croix and I love spending our time finding the coolest coffee shops around the Triangle. I’m a big foodie and my sweet tooth is bigger than I’m willing to admit at the moment. I’m also known to throw down on the grill, a ribeye steak hates to see me coming!
I’m always rocking the Nike check & sneakers are a big part of my style. I love listening to a wide range of music from Christian, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Country.
